New Single: 'Life Moves Forward' out 18.09.26

Just 3 days to go until the next single from Steve Mahoney Music & The Mill Island Band. ‘Life Moves Forward’ arrives on Sept 18th!
This is quite a British ditty tackling nostalgia, societal scapegoats, and the trick of time.. the narrative sold to us that things were always better in the past.

Musically, it features some incredible guest turns:
Spoken-Word Intro: Delivered by a mysterious veteran A-list actor whose identity I can't quite reveal just yet.
Vocals: The brilliant, tri-lingual Gabriella Romano returning after her amazing performances on our ‘Can't Get Arrested’ album.
Guitar Work: A first-time collaboration with Jim Moreton from House Above The Sun, laying down an amazing solo right alongside Gregs sensational riff and groove.
The Vibe: I’m told this nods to classic influences like Ray Davies, Squeeze, Paul Weller, and Blur.

I’ll be sharing a full audio deep-dive and breakdown of all the different song iterations after it’s released. It’s one of our faves from this forthcoming album and tasty live!

“At a time when the voices of Queer individuals from rural, working-class backgrounds are too often unheard, Two Come Home brings them centre stage, capturing the courage it takes to reach for connection against the odds. With its haunting live score, complex characters, and unflinching look at the scars left by prejudice and solitude, this play is a bold reminder of why Queer stories matter. This isn’t just a play – it’s a reckoning, a testament to resilience, and a call for empathy. A truly unmissable play – this is outstanding, unforgettable theatre.”
