From 16 April - 4 May 2024, this acclaimed play comes to The Hope Theatre in Islington, for its long-awaited London premiere. Longlisted for the BBC Writersroom Popcorn Award for Best New Writing in 2023, In Everglade Studio is a ferocious comedic thriller from Nathaniel Brimmer-Beller, featuring original music by Nathaniel and Aveev Isaacson. In 1974 London, three musicians and their manager seal themselves inside an underground recording studio to complete a country-rock album, unaware that materials in the walls are driving them to the brink of insanity. As artistic and social tensions flare, the atmosphere grows thornier, the music grows stranger, and Everglade Studio’s mixture of creativity and claustrophobia demands its pound of flesh… This electric new production follows a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe last summer (★★★★★ ‘an intelligently constructed masterpiece’ – The Student, ★★★★★ ‘fierce and intense’ – Butterwort, ★★★★ ‘tuneful, tense and entertaining… Nathaniel Brimmer-Beller’s most impressive piece to date’ – AllEdinburgh Theatre). The play is being published by Bloomsbury/Methuen Drama to coincide with this run. Copies will be available for purchase at the venue after the show. Tune to BBC Radio4 at 6:15pm tomorrow night to hear a special performance of Emily sing a track off her new album, The Party’s Over (out 26th March). Joined by Sam Beer (electric guitar) and Stev (moral support) Emily will perform a fresh cut of the first single off the album, Santa Maria. New Solo Albums On The Way in 2020!

2019 has been a fruitful year for Mahoney & The Moment’s side projects.

Following the debut release of Steve Mahoney & The Milkshakes’ ‘Can’t Get Arrested!’, Steve and his Milkshakes have headed back into the studio for album #2, fast-forwarding from the dancin’ diner numbers of the ‘50’s to the synth-washed bangers of the ‘80s.

In the meantime, Emily Moment has tracked for her first full-length solo record, the first release since her debut solo EP, Never Enough (2011).

Both new records are due for release in 2020. Stay tuned for news of single releases and live shows!
